Trains, buses and shuttles cover most major destinations within Atlanta city and travel according to strict and regular timetables.

Car rentals are available both from the airport and from well-known car hire companies in central Atlanta. Driving in Atlanta is recommended only for those with strong nerves as the city has something of a reputation for bad drivers and driving conditions that border on and often exceed the dangerous. The I-85 runs the perimeter of Atlanta, while I-75 and I-85 travel the length of the city, meeting somewhere in the middle. I-20 runs from the east to the west of the Atlanta.

As well as running the public bus services in Atlanta, MARTA also operates train services to 38 of the city's most popular and important destinations. Services travel between 05:00 until 01:00, from Monday to Friday, and from 06:00 until 00:20 on weekends and holidays. Services run every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Meanwhile, Amtrak operates rail services travel from Atlanta to destinations across the US.
