The Wonderful Georgia Aquarium at Centennial Park
My time at the Atlanta Georgia Aquarium well money well spent. We all had a brilliant time here. It was excellent. Very big, very impressive. Lots of great big tanks and fish. It even had the biggest saltwater tank in the world, where we could watch some rather large whale sharks. Very nice that was. My kids enjoyed handling the crabs and stroking the rays. We didn't eat in the restaurant, although it looked quite nice. For an extra charge, there are tours which take you behind the scenes to learn more about the maintenance and history of the exhibits.

Animal Safari in Atlanta
The Pine Mountain Wild Animal Safari has an awful lot more animals that there are in Atlanta Zoo and they had had some massive ligers, which are a cross between a tiger and a lion. We were able to drive around and even fed some of the animals from the window of our car. If you don't want to take you own car in the safari park, you can rent a 'Zebra Van' for about $12, so quite cheap. Also Pine Mountain isn't actually in Atlanta, it's fairly close by and about a 90 minute drive away, to the south.
